jerry_personalitiesJerry Dahmen, a native of South Dakota, is News Director of KXRB Radio in Sioux Falls.  Prior to returning to Sioux Falls 2002, Jerry worked for the Grand Ole Opry's WSM Radio in Nashville for 17 years as News Director.  Jerry is one of radio broadcasting most honored journalists having earned over 100 major news/community awards, including the coveted George Foster Peabody Award and 3 national Edward R. Murrow Awards.

While in Nashville, Jerry  authored a best selling book titled “I Love Life…In Spite Of It All.” The book brought about invitations from a number of major talk shows, including OPRAH, the 700 Club and Nashville Now.   Jerry, who was recognized at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. for his broadcasting achievements,  recently completed his second book, “I Love Life THE REAL SURVIVORS: 50 STORIES OF HOPE, FAITH AND INSPIRATION.”  Proceeds were donated to the Salvation Army. 

For the past 30 years, Jerry has hosted a daily radio show titled "I Love Life" that airs on AM 1000 KXRB weekeays at 9am and Sunday morning's
at 9am.  So far, over 1,500 guests who have overcome adversities have been featured on the program.
